As I have been searching for ideas for my own bedroom redo, I came across many inspiring pictures. Just looking at each is refreshing....
We spend 1/3 of our lives sleeping and resting up for our busy days... it only makes sense that these rooms should be designed for complete rejuvenation. That is much easier said and done of course, but how wonderful is it to drift asleep without the reminders of chores to be done and to wake with a view free of clutter....
So serene are these muted colors and natural textures... the upholstered headboard adds the perfect amount of interest to this bedroom.
The full bed linens in this bedroom make me want to plop down on this bed and sink into all that down!
White linens are a must- nothing looks more fresh or crisp.
The canopy on this bed is so dreamy. And of course the vintage pillow cover adds instant charm.
Lots of texture keeps a monochrome space from being blah... this room is anything but! What a delightful indulgence to wake up to a huge floral arrangement like this.
Is it even possible to wake up on the wrong side of this bed??? Imagine the view out these French doors!
I've posted on this bedroom before, but I can't escape its quiet elegance. The
casual linen is dressed up so well with a simple scallop-edged duvet and the worn patina of the surrounding materials.
The everyday junk and "stuff" has been cleared from each of these rooms... there's not a pile to be seen! Nothing in any of these rooms screams "look at me!" yet each is overflowing with interest, charm and tranquility. Now that is bliss.

These are all lovely, but I think my fave is the third image--that painted screen is stunning!
ReplyDeleteI've been working on the bedroom too which is currently all white. I thought about switching things up a bit but just can't seem to tear myself away from the white. It's just so tranquil for a bedroom.
ReplyDeleteI love white linen sheets, and am always willing to spend the money on them...these are gorgeous! I especiallylike the one with the large scale art.
ReplyDeleteBest,

ReplyDeleteLovely images Alice - & very inspirational as I'm going through the 'challenges' of a bedroom redo too. I love your part of the world & stayed at The Phoenician in Scottsdale for a Conference a couple of years ago. It was divine!
