Nothing to jumpstart the week like pictures of a pretty workspace….
This office by the architect D. Stanley Dixon had me at first glance. It’s calm, clean, and so pretty- love the neutral color palate and the large piece of art on the credenza.
The overall look and the details are definitely inspiration for my own office. I need lots of storage and it’s all a mish-mash of things- file drawers, bins for fabrics and materials, etc… the best way to store everything in various containers and keep a cohesive look to a space is with a table skirt. I might be guilty of overdoing them, but they solve so many problems (as in, they hide so many eyesores!). I definitely am a fan of a simple linen skirt topped with glass like this!
Live plants freshen things up and keep things casual.
The rolls of drawings in another large basket is a convenient and pretty storage solution. Even if you’re not someone who has rolls of drawings hanging around, this is a really great way to store rolls of fabric or wrapping paper.
This is the only “clutter” that can be found in these pictures- doesn't it look great!?! The clutter in my office has NEVER looked so chic!
Lots of light and pretty accessories. Love the mix of the Saarinen style table with these old lanterns and pine cabinet. What a great place to sit and start or end the day!
